We pride ourselves on being able to offer our members ‘roll your sleeves up’ hands-on opportunities to volunteer your way.

The Rotary Club of Geelong West in conjunction with Geelong Legacy Club will be hosting a Remembrance Service at the Cenotaph, located in the forecourt of Geelong West Town Hall (near the Library).

The Service is to be held on Saturday 12 November commencing at 10.30am and is open to anyone who may wish to place a floral tribute on the day. Geelong West Brass Band and cadets from the TS Barwon will also support and participate at the Service, with a minute's silence observed at 11.00am.

The Saturday service was chosen to avoid a clash with RSL services on Friday 11th November and to allow as many residents as possible of Geelong West to attend.

The Cenotaph was dedicated in 1927 as a tribute to those local residents who served in WW1 but only limited Remembrance Services have been held in the past 30 years.
