Rotary Geelong West is holding their next Book Fair at Geelong West Town Hall on 14th, 15th and 16th February 2025. The doors will open at 9:00am on Friday 14th February.
In the lead up to our Book Fair, Rotary Geelong West Team has been sorting through books from all genres, which will be available at incredible prices. In August 2024, over 2,500 people came to the fair over the weekend. In excess of $25,000 was raised for various charities - we continue to be thrilled with our results. Each of our Book Fair contributions make up the major fundraising event for the Rotary Club of Geelong West, which so far has raised over $175,000 that has been channelled back through our Rotary Club’s supported projects such as Barwon Health Foundation Project North, Samaritan House, Operation Newstart, Barwon Valley School and Geelong Youth Engagement, not to mention all of the many smaller charitable programs that have been assisted by Rotary Club Grants each year.
We have available literally thousands of books from a wide variety of categories. And all it takes for you to change a life, is a gold coin donation on entry and a book purchase of $2 or more - nothing could be simpler!
Visitors to our Book Fairs will not only pick up a bargain, they will be helping us to assist in the lives of the many people that benefit from what Rotary does, both locally and overseas. It’s a Win Win! Our community Book Fairs help thousands of people suffering illness, disadvantage and hardship every year, as well as also making a very important environmental difference. Books are donated by hundreds of people in the region as well as Geelong Regional Libraries Corporation, who have been a major contributor to the Book Fair for many years now.

Book Fairs like ours, are the perfect vehicle to recycle books and save them from being sent to landfill. That can only have a positive effect on reducing waste, which in turn benefits the environment and our community.
We have now CLOSED the option for Book Donations, however we will resume in March 2025. If you wish to donate books from March 2025 onwards, then please take note of the following information:
Donations can be dropped off on the second Tuesday of each month between 1pm-3pm and the fourth Sunday of the month between 10am-11.30am. The drop off location is Rotary House, 2-4 Baxter Road, North Geelong. There is a Rotary House sign at the end of a row of storage units (GDP is next door).
