As a result of the Lockdown being lifted, the Rotary Club of Geelong West confirms their 'Book Fair is Back On' at Geelong West Town Hall, 19-21 February 2021!
As per today's announcement, we are delighted to bring this event back to the community. Our members have continued to sort through books from all genres, which will be available at incredible prices - $1 for paperbacks and children's books; $2 for hardcovers. Each Book Fair contributes to the major fundraising for the Rotary Club of Geelong West, and so far has raised over $100,000 that has been channelled back through our Rotary Club’s supported projects such as Barwon Health Patient Transport, Samaritan House, Operation Newstart, Christ Church Meals Program, Geelong Mums, Geelong Kokoda Youth Program and Interplast, not to mention all of the many smaller charitable programs that have been assisted by Rotary Club grants each year.
We continue to make available literally thousands of books from a wide variety of genres on offer. And all it takes for you to change a life, is a gold coin donation and a book purchase of $1 or $2 - nothing could be simpler!

Visitors to the Book Fair will not only pick up a bargain, they will be helping us to assist in the lives of the many people that benefit from what Rotary does, both locally and overseas. It’s a Win Win! Our community Book Fairs help thousands of people suffering illness, disadvantage and hardship every year, as well as also making a very important environmental difference. Books are donated by hundreds of people in the region as well as Geelong Regional Libraries Corporation, who have been a major contributor to the Book Fair for many years now.

Book Fairs like ours, are the perfect vehicle to recycle books and save them from being sent to landfill. That can only have a positive effect on reducing waste, which in turn benefits the environment and our community.
The Book Fair commences at 9.00am each day running through to 8.00pm on Friday, 5.00pm on Saturday and 2.00pm on Sunday. Face masks are mandatory for all attendees.
