Battery Collection

What weight of batteries is contained in this container which is located at the City of Greater Geelong's Geelong West Customer Service Centre? Would you believe 10.75kg, sometimes there can be in excess of 14kg. of batteries awaiting collection. The batteries are taken to the Customer Service Centre by local residents who want the used batteries to be correctly recycled not just added to land fill. When the container is full which can take anywhere between 2 to 6 weeks the batteries are collected and weighed and taken to the Geelong Transfer Station to be recycled. Just another service by Geelong West Rotary to the local community.
